Our job is to accept people so they can change.

My Treatment Modality & Theoretical Orientation

I believe when children feel safe, seen, and loved they are free to grow into their best selves. I work with both children and their caregivers to strengthen their relationship through the client-therapist relationship. It is through relationships children learn the skills they need to grow into an adult who can self-regulate and problem solve effectively.

I consider myself an Integrative Play Therapist. I seek ways to empower my clients and help them express their emotions and needs in healthy ways. Learning happens most effectively through play and activity: the more fun the better.

I use bibliotherapy, art therapy, sandtray therapy, child led play and therapist led play. I also have background in Attachment Based Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy.

I have experience working with kids 18 months to 18 years old. I’ve worked with children considered Neurodivergent, children with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, anger, and children in foster care. I am gender affirming and have Safe Zone training.
