BIOMy Education, Training, and Experience:

My initial education started with my undergraduate degree in Psychology – Christian Counseling from Liberty University. I achieved this degree in 2014. During my undergraduate work, I spent time in positions that provided me with experience working with individuals, couples, and families at many different ages and moments. Additionally, I was able to work alongside Crisis Response, stabilization facilities, medical facilities, and first responders. In 2024 I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University. While working to complete my Master’s degree I spent a year as an intern with Grace Clinic where I provided individual and marriage counseling services to many community members. I have completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and I am certified in Gottman Family Therapy Level 1. I have experience working with teens and adults with a focus on individuals, couples, families, and first responders.

My Treatment Modality and Therapeutic Orientation:

Carl Rogers theorized and created a concept known as unconditional positive regard. This idea spoke to me greatly when I started learning about therapy as it is something that I feel is greatly needed in our world today. My goal as a therapist is to provide unconditional positive regard to not only my clients but everyone I encounter. It is through this lens that I apply skills I have learned from CBT, SFBT, MI, and the Gottman Method. By providing unconditional positive regard to the people I have found that these people are then able to find the strength needed to better themselves.

My Treatment Modality and Therapeutic Orientation

Having grown up in a family of first responders I was raised with the idea of helping others in my community with everything I have. I have witnessed and experienced first-hand people at their best and people in some of the worst moments of their lives. In all these moments, good and bad, people need acceptance and positive regard. It is my goal to provide a space for people to experience these things as they move through these moments in their lives. It would be my honor and privilege to come alongside you as you walk through these moments, encouraging and cheering you on each step of the way forward.
